Our expertise and qualifications in learning, teaching, psychology and counselling means that we can provide workshops for organisations and companies outside the NHS and diabetes care.
So if you run a further or adult education establishment, are part of a training team, a learning events organiser, a manager or company director, your staff could benefit from these workshops.
These workshops share the attributes of all our work, in that they: *Identify and meet learners’ needs *Are practical, active and interactive *Ensure that all participants leave with a workable action plan for implementing what they have learned
The workshops currently on offer are summarised below. Please contact us for more information.
How to Facilitate Groups A one-day workshop which will give participants practical experience of facilitating a group as well as theoretical information. Ideal for people who regularly teach adults or run discussion or focus groups.
Developing your teaching and facilitation skills A one-day workshop which develops participants’ theoretical and practical knowledge to enable effective learning. It's ideal for more experienced teachers and trainers who wish to develop their skills in a learner centred approach and move away from the traditional 'chalk and talk' approach - without losing control of the class!
How to communicate and present well For anyone who wishes to be more effective in getting their message across or giving enjoyable and meaningful presentations. This workshop covers the theory and practice of communication, both verbal and non-verbal and also how to ‘stand and deliver’ so that audiences, however large, will hang on to the facilitator's every word! |
