GNVQ Advanced Business (distinction)

Hello, let me tell you a bit about me. I worked in sales and administration for several years on completion of my GNVQ Business course at college. I built up a range of skills and realised I was born to organise!

During this time I was diagnosed with type one diabetes (age 19). This obviously bought huge change to my life and about 4 years into my diagnosis I attended one of Jill & Rosie's workshops called "3D". The course changed my life and equipped me to set up a support group for 18-30 year old Diabetics called Circle D. The group has been running for a year and continues to grow in popularity and strength.

I am also a volunteer for Diabetes UK and have been involved in fundraising and various other projects. I realised how much I was getting out of helping and supporting Circle D and doing my bit for Diabetes UK and I therefore decided to pursue a career in diabetes. I voiced this to Jill & Rosie who offered me a job as the Successful Diabetes Office Manager!

I find working for such a meaningful company inspiring and I really enjoy knowing that I am helping to make a difference to people working with diabetes as well as those living with it, like myself.
